In Cotonou, a strategic dialogue to broaden access to mortgage credit and support households.
On Tuesday, November 18, in Cotonou, BOAD Titrisation had the honor of taking part — as a partner and speaker — in the workshop organized by CRRH-UEMOA, alongside SIMAU and all financial actors mobilized around a key issue: accelerating the financing of affordable housing in Benin and across the WAEMU region.
In a context where housing demand is growing faster than supply, securitization offers concrete solutions. As emphasized by Adji Sokhna M’BAYE, CEO of BOAD Titrisation:
“The relevance of securitization lies in its ability to enable banks to finance more, and finance differently.”
A strong message shared during insightful discussions with banks, DFSs, and public institutions. The objective: diversifying funding sources, supporting households in accessing credit, and facilitating the market rollout of affordable housing programs.
This workshop marks an important milestone: strengthened cooperation among stakeholders to build a more inclusive housing ecosystem for the benefit of the population.
A big thank-you to CRRH-UEMOA for this fruitful collaboration and for organizing this high-level gathering.
